Bird Trails, Butterflies… and Owls!

Right in your own town, county, neighborhood, or even your own backyard, you can find the most fantastic bird trails and butterflies, flowers… even owls! Just Google “bird trails” and your zip code, and you’ll be pleasantly surprised!

This weekend was wonderful—filled with a lot of bird watching, walking, and just allowing the sun to shine in! The three places I explored were: Wakodahatchee Wetlands, DuPuis Reserve, and Markham Park.

At Wakodahatchee Wetlands, we saw Cormorants and Wood Storks and their babies. This Cormorant posed so perfectly for the photo and caught the light just right…

I saw my first ever Barred Owl at DuPuis Reserve

And discovered a meticulously cared for butterfly garden with monarchs and swallowtails and beautiful flowers in Markham Park.

…And last but not least this precious rose from the backyard!
